Introduction

The Therapy Agreement explains the responsibilities between Mindscape Hypnotherapy and you, the client. On this page, 'Mindscape Hypnotherapy' refers to both Mindscape Hypnotherapy (the company) and Christopher Egginton (the person).

The agreement is divided into two sections:

  • Booking & Cancellation Policy - includes information about booking a session and what to do if you or Mindscape Hypnotherapy needs to cancel or postpone a session.
  • My Promise - explains the standards Mindscape Hypnotherapy adheres to, how your confidentiality and data is handled, and how the Members' Area is managed.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

  • In-person and Online session bookings are made by accessing the 'Book a Session' page on this website.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy uses the platform, Setmore, to manage bookings. Click here to read more about this function.
  • To secure a session 50% of the total cost will be paid online by credit/debit card, Paypal or Mobile Payment. The remainder of the fee is taken on the day of the session.
  • Everyday Emotional Health sessions last approximately one hour to one hour and thirty minutes each. The fee per session is £70.
  • Discovery Sessions can last approximately three hours. The fee per session is £140.
  • Session fees will change during promotional periods, Members' special offers, or if a session is purchased as part of a bundle.
  • Within one working day following a booking request, Mindscape Hypnotherapy will send an email to confirm the date and time of your session. Problems confirming your desired date and time will be dealt with in the email.
  • Within one working day from the booking confirmation, you will receive access to a password protected Members' Area page. You will be required to complete the Initial Consultation Form on this page before your session.
  • You must attend the session on time. If you are late, every effort will be made to accommodate the lost time, but please be aware that the session may still finish at the original time.
  • Sessions can be booked up to 60 days in advance.
  • If you need to cancel or change your session, please reschedule on the booking platform. Alternatively, you can email Mindscape Hypnotherapy or send a message via the 'Priority Contact' function within the Members' Area page.
  • Cancellations and changes made at least two days before your session are processed at no extra charge.
  • Bookings cancelled within two days of the session date will be charged a cancellation fee of £20 for an Everyday Emotional Health Session and £40 for a Discovery Session. This fee may be waivered for emergencies outside of your control.
  • If Mindscape Hypnotherapy needs to cancel or postpone a session, you will be notified via the Priority Contact function and email with a proposed time change.
  • If an online session cannot be completed due to a technical problem, it is at Mindscape Hypnotherapy's discretion to offer the option to rebook at no extra charge or provide a full refund.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy reserves the right to block bookings made by individuals who repeatedly cancel or fail to attend their sessions.

My Promise

  • Hypnotherapy relies on commitment and motivation to get the best results. Part of the treatment occurs in person, and part of the treatment continues at home. Mindscape Hypnotherapy enables this by providing audio recordings of each session.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy commits to the highest standards of care and provides a safe and confidential environment for therapy to take place.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy holds the appropriate qualifications and level of liability insurance to be a registered member of the International Hypnotherapy Association.   • Clients are treated in a non-judgmental manner with respect, professionalism and empathy.
  • Results from hypnotherapy can vary from person to person. Mindscape Hypnotherapy does not guarantee to cure an issue.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy does not treat any medically diagnosed mental health conditions. Cases that cannot be treated by hypnotherapy will be refused and referred to a medical practitioner.
  • Clients who come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs or demonstrate violent/abusive behaviour will have the session terminated.

Christopher is a registered member of the International Hypnotherapy Association.

  • Confidentiality of your information is of the utmost importance to Mindscape Hypnotherapy. Any information collected from you as a client or potential client, including your contact details, will be held in the strictest confidence.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy complies with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to ensure your data is processed correctly and securely. Click here to see Mindscape Hypnotherapy's entry on the ICO register.
  • The details that you disclose are used solely to provide you, the client, with the highest levels of service.
  • Data collected from the website and during sessions is not shared with any third parties unless explicitly agreed.
  • Mindscape Hypnotherapy is legally required to report any abuse towards a minor to the appropriate authorities should you divulge any such information.
  • As part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), anonymised case histories may be discussed with peers.
  • Email addresses are used to keep in touch about your session, let you know about any special offers, send you the monthly newsletter and any other Mindscape Hypnotherapy emails that may interest you. You can unsubscribe from emails by clicking the opt-out link at the bottom of each email or contacting Mindscape Hypnotherapy.

  • When you book with Mindscape Hypnotherapy you will receive access to a personalised and secure Members' Area page following confirmation of a booking.
  • Session recordings will be stored on this page. A secure download link will be provided to enable you to listen to the sessions on a compatible computer or audio device.
  • If you purchase a Discovery session, you receive a written account of the session which will be uploaded as a PDF to the Members' page.
  • Priority Contact allows you to send direct messages to Mindscape Hypnotherapy. This function is used to respond to messages and notify you of new file uploads and updates to your account. If you are not logged in when a message is sent you will receive an email notification.
  • Usage data is observed internally. If an account is left dormant for more than 12 months, Mindscape Hypnotherapy reserves the right to close the account. An email will be sent before closing an account.
  • You can request that your account is closed at any time by sending a message to Mindscape Hypnotherapy.
